Asmongold has returned to streaming on his main channel. The MMO king’s attracted thousands of people, beat his personal viewership record and boosted the hype around Lost Ark.

Asmongold Returns with a Bang

Zack “Asmongold,” one of the most prominent MMORPG content creators, has returned to streaming on his main channel after five months of hiatus. Not only did his return mark a viewership record for his channel, but he also singlehandedly helped Lost Ark reach the milestone of one million concurrent viewers on Twitch.

Lost Ark is one of the newest titles on the MMORPG markets. Its western release was highly anticipated by the MMO community, which is attested by the 10 million hours watched on the release day.

According to the Twitch statistics site SullyGnome, the game managed to attract a peak of 1.2 million viewers. It was noted that Lost Ark is the first game to reach this number in the last two weeks and Minecraft has a higher viewership last month.

Asmongold’s stream alone brought 284,644 people at its peak. He played the game for over nine hours and averaged 201,446 viewers. Thanks to his efforts, he added 1.86 million hours watched to the Lost Ark release day.

Asmongold Broke His Personal Record

Despite a few people disliking him, Asmongold is one of the most beloved streamers thanks to his sincerity to fans. He’s been widely praised for not role-playing a fake persona while streaming and always sharing his honest opinions.

The numbers speak for themselves – even after being gone for a few months, Asmongold still managed to attract a huge crowd to his content and even broke the concurrent viewership record of his main channel. For reference, his previous record sat at 263,720 viewers and is from 2019 when World of Warcraft Classic was first released.

Asmongold is known to take breaks when he needs them but his last break was one of his longest ones yet. It came because of personal issues he was dealing with, the most severe of which was the passing away of his mother.

It is good to see that Asmongold is slowly recovering. Let’s hope that he will maintain good physical and mental health and continue to engage fans with his premium MMO content.
